His Light

I’ve stopped telling myself that I can fix him
For a long time he has been this way
He has stopped seeing the beauty
Of the vast skies and deep seas
And he doesn’t intend to change

I’m a martyr at his rage

He doesn’t have time to stop and feel love
How can I save him when I’m the one in need
He’s like a poison lingering around my heart
His darkness sets in me, darkening my soul
But he wants me to be his light

For now he is my fate
