Last night as we laid down
You were silent, something disturbed you.
Once you were the new sheriff in the town
But now there is something different about you.
Last night you were tossing and turning around.
I asked you if everything was alright.
You just muttered a yes trying to remove my doubt.
You seemed tensed for an unknown reason.
I just lay there hoping that you’ll say something.
Finally after hours of the silent treatment you whispered in my ear.
I was confused and so you explained.
You wanted love in which we slowly failed.
Something was missing and now you found it.
And now there is nothing left about it.
Last night you left me alone to be with her.
Last night is something I cannot decipher.
