My 10 Favourite Cartoons

Best memories of childhood is filled with some lost faces, few lost friends, the time we lazily spend around and most memorable cartoons.

No denying, cartoons are the best. These TV series and two to three hour long movies are nothing in compared to them. I could still sit watch any cartoon for ‘n’ number of hours without getting bored.

Cartoons have goofiness, craziness and sometimes mysteries too. Whether it be Daffy Duck’s voice or Mr. Bean’s love for his teddy bear, cartoon’s have made everyone’s childhood awesome.

Here are 10 of my favourite cartoons. They are just 10 out of infinite number of cartoons I have watched and loved.

1) Mickey Mouse

It is undoubtedly one of the best cartoons one has ever watched. The love between Mickey and Minnie and Donald and Daisy, the bond of friendship between all of them and their silliness cannot be missed by any of us.

2) Scooby Doo

“Scooby Doo, Where are you?”

Scooby Doo with his four friends Shaggy, Vilma, Fred and Daphne surely inspired us to buy a dog and be a detective. I always wonder how Shaggy and Scooby were a mystery solver while being so afraid of ghosts because more than half of the case they solved consisted of ghosts, draculas and god knows what creatures. Do you know how?

3) Tom and Jerry

No words for them. Every person has watched this cartoon. Everyone. If not, what were you watching then?  There is literally no words to describe their awesomeness.

One question for Tom and Jerry lovers- “Tell the real name of Tom and Jerry. And tell without googling it.”

4) The Flintstones

The Flintsones along with their neighbours and best friend The Rebbles lived in stone age. They showcased lives of a typical household that they could show – a working husband, a beautiful wife that loved spending money, a child and yes, a pet too.

5)  Johnny Bravo

Did I see a mommy’s boy? Did I see a flirty man? Did I see someone’s all failed dates? Did I see someone who wanted to be an actor?

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. I saw it all. I saw Johnny Bravo. A man who loved to flirt with every girl but cannot get a single successful date and still remained so self-confident. I mean how? But then again it’s just a cartoon.

6) Dexter’s Laboratory

There is a laboratory in a basement.

What? No.

Yes. There is. Dexter’s Laboratory.

It can’t be. Someone has to know about if it existed.

Dee-Dee knows. Dexter’s annoying sister.

You are joking. How can a child built a laboratory?

He is a freaking genius much more genius than Phineas and Ferb.

Just shut-up. And move to next cartoon please.

Okay.

7) Ed, Edd and Eddy

Do you know them? They live in a fictional place called Peach Creek. Their favourite confectionery is Jawbreakers.

Yes. They are ‘The Ed’s’. They have a very simple story. Living in a suburban cul-de-sac, they try every possible way they could get to eat jawbreakers.

8) The Powerpuff Girls

‘So once again the day is saved…. Thanks to The Powerpuff Girls’

Created by chemical X, they were Professor Utonium’s attempt to make perfect girls but he made three girls with superpowers. Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup live in Townsville, USA and help their mayor to save the town by fighting the villians such as Mojo Jojo and Him. Despite having super powers, they are shown getting bored and frustated by the daily normal life chores.

9) Make Way For Noddy

Do you have any delivery? Just give it to us. We have our delivery guy- Noddy.

Noddy is a boy living in Toyland. He drives the car through the town as a Taxi driver, delivers posts to everyone, has lots of friends- Big Ears, Dinah Doll, Tessie  Bear – and helps Mr. Plod catch the gobblins- Sly and Gobbo.

10) Mr. Bean

‘Teddy’

That is the first thing that comes to my mind when someone says Mr. Bean. He is shown as a man who thinks his teddy bear is real. His teddy and his green car have a prominent role in the cartoon along with his girlfriend, Irma Gobb and The Reliant, the one with the blue car.

Mr. Bean is assumed to be an alien because in one of the episodes, “Double Trouble” , he was taken in a spaceships, where he saw many people exactly similar to him and they even had their own teddy bears. So it is a possibility that he is one of them.

  1. Mr.bean would be my all time favourite! Watching him be so happy with his solitude. His peace of mind. His cozy apartment and his teddy, just flushes away all my worries in so many different ways!

  2. Mickey mouse is a weird cartoon if you think about it then Pluto and Goofy both are dogs but Pluto is treated like a pet but Goofy isn’t. Darker than I thought.

The best thing about Scooby Doo is that it taught all of us that real monsters are humans. 😊

    Good article! ❤
